COVID-19

Dear Petaluma and Loyal Clients,

Thank you so much for your on-going support, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve our community. Our team at Petaluma Wellness Arts Center is committed to taking steps to keep you safe and healthy. Below are some key updates. Your feedback is confirmation that we are all dedicated to preventing the spread in order to protect those at high risk and we thank you for this.

• Malama Massage’s protocol and menu has changed in compliance with our governing boards and shelter in place orders. As the situation develops, I will continue to stay in compliance with the current Health Order. Please reach out if you have questions or concerns.

• Online booking is only accessible to existing clients at this time.​

Please be aware of the following:

• We have added more time in between sessions to allow me to clean and disinfect all surfaces.

• A Hepa filter is in continual use in the treatment room, cleaning the air 4x an hour.

• There is a door in the treatment room that can be opened upon request.

• I wear a mask, a face shield, and an apron that is changed in between sessions.

Pre-screen before your appointment: ​

If you reply 'yes' to any of the following questions, please contact us to reschedule your appointment without penalty.

• Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?

• Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?

• Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has Coronavirus-type symptoms?

When you arrive for your appointment:

• Please remain in your car or outside when you arrive.

• Send a text to (707) 495-1548 to let me know you are here or call (the same number) and leave a message.

• I will reply when all disinfecting tasks are completed and am ready for you. 

• The lobby will be closed for waiting at this time.

Upon entering Petaluma Wellness Arts Center:

• We will be taking temperatures at the door.

• We will need to cancel and reschedule your appointment if you show signs of illness for the safety of all other clients and staff members.

• All must wash hands and/or use provided hand sanitizer in our facility upon entering.

During your treatment:

• All clients must wear face masks for the duration of their stay.

• If you do not have one or if yours is ill fitting, one will be provided for you. Neck gaiters, fleece, and flannel masks are not allowed in the building.

• According to the CDC, if you have breathing trouble or are otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance you may be excused from wearing a mask. If you have a medical reason as to why you are not required to wear a mask, we will also need this information included in your doctor's referral.

Operational Changes:​

• Appointment times are available anywhere from 9am - 7pm weekdays except Wednesday, 10-4 Saturday

• Online Booking is available only to existing clients at this time. New clients must call (707) 495-1548 to schedule.

• All major credit cards are accepted (contactless). I also accept Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account Cards (HSA). If you have a Medical Reimbursement Account, we are happy to provide you with an invoice via email.

• Checks must be addressed to Erica Hokett. Cash is accepted, I will provide and envelope for you.
